What is the Zero Degrees Festival About?

The Zero Degrees Festival is a Louth-based, independent, not-for-profit, community organisation, run entirely by volunteers, and with its roots firmly in the community. The primary aim of the festival is to broaden and enrich the cultural experiences Louth can offer to local residents and visitors, and also to inspire and encourage people to participate in those activities. The long term aim is to establish Louth as a festival town, regionally and nationally, and in so doing fulfill a further aim, which is to support the local economy.

A big thank you to the volunteers, sponsors, councillors, venues and organisers who have supported us so far, and to everyone who has come along to our events. Without the help of volunteers, the festival can't thrive and grow. If you are interesting in becoming a volunteer, in whatever capacity, please do get in touch by clicking here.

It's great to see how the festival has grown in both size and diversity since those early years into something of which Louth can feel extremely proud. Congratulations to all those who have worked tirelessly to make this happen. And to the residents of Louth - please continue to give Zero Degrees your support.  Here's to the next 10 years!

Every one has been full of stimulating and entertaining events around our town: it’s always great to see Louth become more animated at such times, and it really is worth checking out what’s on where in advance.
So meanwhile, I am very happy to be a patron of this extra-special occasion.
